GREAT NEWS!!!

I have been accepted for the Vipassana Retreat in February!!! I got the email last night notifying me that I have been accepted. I AM SOOOOOO HAPPY!!!!!!

why i write this blog

it is my past. it is an expression of me. it is my reality as i describe it.

gratitude for my many blessings. one-sided dialogue and rants of my life as a bipolar. the never-ending quest for acceptance and understanding which leads to peace. everything from the mundane to semi-philosophical.

sometimes I complain and sometimes i don't. sometimes, I'm just plain silly. sometimes i'm a smart ass and other times i can be an ass. or maybe just look like an ass.

sometimes i surprise even myself.

the older i get, the less i understand. growing old doesn't frighten me. growing ignorant does. It is amazing how old one can be and realize they have no idea who they are. It is frightening when it happens to you.

i have many, many more questions than i have answers.

i nurture an underground stream of optimism and hope that moves silently like a ghost throughout my soul.

i am human. i am far from perfect. but this is who i am and this is what i've got to work with.

oh ... and my Mom says I think too much ...
